“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore,…” ( Eph. 6:13-14 KJV )
I stumbled into a review of the code cracking book – The Third Door – written by the youthful Alex Banayan. I was greatly inspired that I had to call my wife, as I was attending the South West Believers Convention in Dallas Texas, to quickly order the book from Amazon for me. I couldn’t wait!
In the book, Alex metaphorically stated that life, business is like a nightclub. There are always three ways in. There’s the First Door – which is the main entrance- where 99% of people wait in line, hoping to get in. And of course, some people are withstood by the bouncers are the door.
The Second Door is the VIP entrance, where the billionaires and celebrities slip through. This door is for the privileged oligarchy in the society or those at the exclusive echelon of the social strata.
But what no one tells is that there’s always- The Third Door. Which could be the emergency exit door or the kitchen back door. This exit door can only turn to entrance door by reason of persistent, unabated bang on the door.
Hear this: An exit door can be an entrance door; an emergency door can be an emergence door if only you will persist and never give up on your bang.
In this life, there are different barriers to entry; oppositions and obstacles; challenges and hindrances masterminded by both seen and unseen forces. Howbeit, we must never bow to any of them. We must resist it by being steadfast or persistent in our faith. You must do all to stand, the forces against you notwithstanding. Greater is the Force in you.
Most times, we give up easily when one door seems closed and even more despondent when the second door seems unlikely to open. The tendency is to resign to fate and give up our faith. You must stand- notwithstanding! It’s either you win or you win.
Below are some spirited and practical steps that will help you to stand, withstand and out-stand.
1. Have the attitude of a Kingdom soldier. ( 2 Tim. 2:4-5)
2. Put on the whole armor of God – not some! ( Eph.6:13-18)
3. Be steadfast in faith- The faith of The Son of God. ( 1 Pet. 5:9)
4. Avoid alternatives – stay focused on achieving your goal, dream or vision. (Prov.4: 25-27; Phil.3:13-14)
5. Be sober and vigilant. (1 Pet.5:8)
6. Be conscious of the truth that you’re a confirmed vicarious winner and that there’s always a way because Jesus is The Way.( Roms.8:37; 1 John 5:4; John 14:6)
7. Embrace and be assured of the love of God. (Roms.8:37-39)
If you will be careful to apply these simple steps, you’ll begin to see barriers as carriers of destiny; oppositions as opportunities to take your position; challenges as charge to effect changes; and obstacles as miracles that would make you a spectacle.
Remember, stand- withstand – and out-stand! It’s a dawn of a new day for you.
To your perpetual standing and outstanding,
