“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” (Hab.2:3-4 KJV)
At the just concluded 5 Nights of Glory (5NOG) — the annual global convocation of the Salvation Ministries, I heard God’s servant Pastor David Ibiyeomie recount how the vision of Salvation Ministries started with only him and the wife. He humorously shared how in one service, it was just him, the wife and a handful of children. He jocularly confessed that the service ended in 10mins. What is now being celebrated as a worldwide vision was once without form or comeliness. And we celebrate this great ministry today because one man refused to give up in unbelief —but was strong in faith that the vision will surely speak at the end. Without gainsaying, the supernatural growth of the ministry in all its dimensions remains unprecedented.
Faith is the life-giver of every flourishing vision. Just as it is impossible to please the Giver of Vision without faith— it’s equally impossible to see your vision fulfilled without faith in the vision and in your God given ability to superintendent the vision.
Every vision or calling requires faith to be actualized, fully performed or executed. “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” (Roms. 4:20-21)
Every vision begins and ends with your faith. You must believe that your Caller is faithful for you to experience the performing power of His Spirit. God is both the Caller and Doer. “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” (1 Thess. 5:24)
Howbeit, God only works according to His power that’s at work in you. And it is the level of your faith that determines the current or flow of power. It is your faith capacity that determines the level of generation and distribution of the products of your vision. Hear what the Word of God says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph. 3:20)
When you mix your vision with faith, you commit God to make all spiritual, human, financial, and material provisions or resources available to you as you continue to partner with Him. Napoleon Hill sounded metaphysical when he observed thus: “ When faith is blended with thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent and transmits it to Infinite Intelligence.” And there’s no gainsaying to his profound thought.
In our own little way, we have seen our faith in the vision God gave us find literal expression. For example, God gave us a vision of a multicultural church and we believed Him and still believe. We confess it and profess it even when it was just me, my wife and household. Today we have people from different nationalities as members of our church— serving God faithfully. And partners in the gospel that cut across racial divide. Faith is sure to work —especially when it is by the grace of the Son of God. (Roms.4:16)
Faith may not be an easy ride but faith makes all things possible. As you stand, walk, live and move by faith —and from faith to faith, rest assured that the vision will surely speak and timeously too.
To the work of faith,
